Dr. Wendy Osefo is a Nigerian-American television personality and progressive political commentator. She has been featured as an interview guest and commentator on major media outlets including CNN, ABC, Fox News, BBC, The Washington Post, and Business Insider. She is also a regular contributor to The Hill, sharing her insight and passion for politics, social justice, and community empowerment.

Dr. Osefo is also a Professor of Education at Johns Hopkins University and the Founder and CEO of 1954 Equity Project, a program that boosts graduation rates for minorities on college campuses. This program complements her studies, which investigate how race and class influence educational trajectories of African American and other minority students. Her latest research specifically examines how the 2016 U.S. Presidential election affected minority populations.

Dr. Wendy Osefo is also the recipient of the 2018 Black Women in Media News and Journalism Award, as well as the 2018 recipient of the Woman of Vision Award. She serves on multiple boards, including the Children’s Scholarship Foundation of Baltimore and The Obama Green Charter School, and she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and The National Urban League.
