Jodi Klein is the President of Espoir Ventures and founder of First Date Stories, a podcast and website for women that celebrates singledom and offers encouragement and camaraderie for female daters in their late 30s and beyond. Her platforms are designed to provide support, inspiration and camaraderie for middle-aged women as they navigate the ever-changing dating scene.
Jodi was inspired to create First Date Stories after her own experience dating in her late 30s and beyond as a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur. Over the course of nearly 400 dates, Jodi identified many dating challenges and wished that she had a place to turn to for support. Jodi’s mission for First Date Stories is to help women be the best they can be by inspiring confidence and resilience as they maneuver through the emotional roller coaster that is the modern dating scene. She created First Date Stories as a place for women to celebrate the single life, get motivated, and find encouragement to get what they truly want and deserve out of a relationship.
Prior to her current venture, Jodi spent 20 years working in marketing in Silicon Valley and went on to create Klein Consulting, a firm helping companies launch new products and attract new customers through marketing initiatives. Jodi has a B.A. in International Relations from UC Davis and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She has served on boards at the University of Michigan, Stanford University, and the American Tinnitus Association and has been active in many local social organizations.
