Mind of a Mentor Episode #92: Les Alfred, Founder of Balanced Black Girl
Lestraundra “Les” Alfred is a personal trainer, nutrition coach, and the founder of Balanced Black Girl, a podcast and supportive wellness community for women of color. Her podcast provides approachable information about wellness and self-care for women of color through candid conversations about health, happiness, and life.
Les Alfred started her first blog, The Balanced Berry, in 2014 as a place to share her love of fitness and nutrition with others. However, after years of feeling dissatisfied with the lack of diversity in wellness content shared on large platforms, she pivoted to launch Balanced Black Girl in 2018.
Through her work as a personal trainer and nutrition coach and the content she produces on her blog, podcast, and social media channels, Les Alfred is building a powerful and supportive community for women of color who want to live healthier and happier lives.
