Pia León is a Peruvian chef who was recently honored by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants as Latin America’s best female chef.
Pia began her career in the kitchen at Central, a restaurant in Lima, Peru created by world-famous chef Virgilio Martinez. She started as a member of the kitchen staff at age 21, and quickly climbed the ranks to the role of Head Chef. At just 32 years old, Pia has launched her first independent restaurant, Kjolle, in Lima, Peru. She recently partnered with Mastercard PRICELESS to bring Kjolle’s biodiverse cuisine to downtown Manhattan as a pop-up dining experience.
