Mind of a Mentor Episode #78: Pia León, Peruvian Chef (Latin America’s Best Female Chef)

Pia León is a Peruvian chef who was recently honored by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants as Latin America’s best female chef.

Pia began her career in the kitchen at Central, a restaurant in Lima, Peru created by world-famous chef Virgilio Martinez. With her talent and leadership, Central went on to earn recognition four years in a row as one of the World’s Best 50 Restaurants.

At just 32 years old, Pia has launched her first independent restaurant, Kjolle, in Lima, Peru. She recently partnered with Mastercard PRICELESS to bring Kjolle’s biodiverse cuisine to downtown Manhattan as a pop-up dining experience.
