Podchaser Initiative #Reviews4Good Uses Podcast Reviews to Make a Difference

Podchaser is running their second annual #Reviews4Good initiative. In the month of April, the podcast database is donating 25 cents to Meals on Wheels America’s Go Further Fund for every podcast review and episode review left on their platform. They will also double the donation amount to 50 cents anytime a podcaster replies to a review.

Podchaser came up with the idea for the #Reviews4Good fundraiser last year as a way to help people most affected by the pandemic. Even now that a vaccine has been released to the public, COVID-19 is having (and will continue to have) an ongoing impact on many underserved and vulnerable communities.

One of the most impacted groups is the senior community, who are still struggling to return to everyday life. Many seniors were deprived of basic needs like nutritious meals and social interaction during the mandated COVID lockdowns and need support to get back on their feet. The Meals on Wheels America’s Go Further Fund is a reputable charity that increased its operations over the last year in order to ensure millions of seniors have access to food, human connection, and assistance.

This year, Podchaser teamed up with several companies in the podcast ecosystem to give back through #Reviews4Good even more than last year. Alitu, ART19, Blubrry, Buzzsprout, Captivate, Libsyn, Player FM, Breaker, and Podkicker have all offered some version of donation-matching for the #Reviews4Good fundraiser.

We last covered Podchaser back in January when they secured $4 Million with a new round of funding led by venture capital firm Greycroft. The podcast review platform is positioned to expand into developing AI-powered technology for podcasting. Podchaser is reportedly building out a centralized, searchable podcast directory similar to IMDB, where users can find or discover new podcasts.

To participate in #Reviews4Good, visit Podchaser’s website and leave some podcast reviews to donate to a good cause through April 30, 2021.
